HEADLINER - The Adam Sweet Band; 7-8pm

‘Broodin’ ballads and righteous, rootsy rock’

Adam is an independent guitarist and singer-songwriter and a fully-fledged blues-rock artist. With brooding ballads and righteous, rootsy rock, he delivers honest tales of loss, longing, hope and strength in the face of adversity. 

Taking his cue from the British blues boom sounds, married to the driving guitar style and sweet sounds of Little Feat and the Allman Brothers, Adam has spent the last decade carving out his own territory between classic rock, blues and Americana.

Alex Hart; 6-7pm

‘Devon-born country music singer-songwriter’

Devon born singer-songwriter Alex Hart is proving to be an important addition to the UK’s current crop of classy country and roots artists. Following the success of Alex’s debut album, her voice and musicianship caught the eye of legendary Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre, who asked Alex to be a part of his band as a musician and vocalist for their European and international tour. 

Alex also collaborates and is performing with the critically-acclaimed Devon born folk singer Seth Lakeman on a sold out UK tour with Alex’s voice and playing featuring on his brand-new album. 

Just Liv and Bob; 5-6pm

‘Smiley duo playing classic songs from across the ages’

Just Liv and Bob formed as a duo five years ago when Livvy was asked to sing for a 99th Birthday Party in a retirement home, and needed an accompanist. The rest is history…

Bob has a wealth of experience, resulting from decades of playing with Folk, Jazz, Country and function bands. Coincidentally, he was a classmate of Ray Kemp (Railroad) at Tiverton Grammar School in the 1960’s and they started learning the guitar together working on Shadows numbers. Vocalist Livvy Hylton-Smith brings a timeless glamour and rich, soulful vocals with an extraordinary natural talent as a singer. She continues to blossom.

Greg Hancock; 4-5pm

‘Pushing at the boundaries of folk in arrangement, instrumentation & subject matter’

Greg Hancock is a singer-songwriter and guitarist with a widespread reputation as one of the most original and skilful artists on the modern acoustic music scene in the UK today.

He started composing his own songs soon after receiving his first guitar aged 11 but, apart from a brief period in his late teens and early twenties when he did some floor spots at local folk clubs, circumstances meant he didn’t perform live until returning to the UK in 2012 after many years overseas. He quickly established himself as a performer on the local acoustic music scene.

‘Well-travelled, with a unique hybrid of jazzy blues’

Ray Kemp just can’t resist the blues. He has been playing and singing it for more years than he cares to remember. In the 1970s, he toured Europe with many of the big names in the rock world and he was a founding member of the Travelling Bluesburys. 

Now partnered with Paul Smail on keys, after a meeting of minds and talents 8 years ago, they now play their own brand of blues, with Paul bringing a jazz feel with classical overtonesThis is a fantastically tight band featuring exciting live musicians who leave audiences wanting a bit more of their unique blend of blues and jazz.

Mark Travis; 2-3pm

Unplugged, relaxed and acoustic covers of Eagles Classics‘ 

Mark Travis performs a relaxed and unplugged acoustic selection of Eagles classics and some of his own originals. Mark’s studio album ‘Soul of the World‘ is available on Spotify and features some originals which will be performed at Solstice sessions. 

He has played in various line ups in the southwest such as ‘Sons Of Toil’, ‘Freeway Split’ and  ‘Poorboy’ before recording and playing live as a solo performer. Mark is local to Ottery St Mary and has delighted diners at Coldharbour with his laid-back acoustic grooves a few times now. 

the music of tom ewings; 1-2pm

‘Captivating folk rock artist from Devon’ 

Dive into the enchanting soundscape of Music Of Tom Ewings, a captivating folk-rock artist and  singer-songwriter from Devon. Tom’s musical journey has spanned cruise ships, record deals with RCA & BMG and tours across the US and UK.

Having graced local festivals, Tom is gaining popularity in the South West. Catch his acoustic set amidst the picturesque landscapes of Ottery St Mary at this year’s Coldharbour Solstice Sessions, an experience not to be missed. His self-titled album is available on all major platforms.

sweet honi choir; 12-1pm

‘Honiton’s original rocking choir.’

Sweet Honi is a mixed female/male group singing in 4 parts led by Dan Nicholls covering material from Pink Floyd, Adele, ACDC, Foo Fighters, Beatles and Guns and Roses, just to name a few! 

The choir is well established with over 50 members including their own in-house band. They sold out the Beehive last year and are really looking forward to kicking off chillout Sunday at The Solstice Sessions this year.

They will definitely be bringing a huge amount of variety to the festival ground.
